Basketball Recap: Corvallis Takes a Loss

Corvallis lost against West Albany back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Corvallis Spartans took a 67-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Albany Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 24th).

Corvallis has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for West Albany, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-6.

Coming up, Corvallis will take on Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Albany, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against McKay at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in West Albany's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 contests.
