Football Game Preview: Cameron Comets vs. Ladysmith Lumberjacks

Cameron is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Ladysmith a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Cameron Comets will look to defend their home field against the Ladysmith Lumberjacks at 7:00 p.m. Cameron has given up an average of 43.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cameron's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Chetek-Weyerhaeuser on Friday. They were beaten by the Bulldogs 35-0.

Meanwhile, Ladysmith ended up a good deal behind Cadott on Saturday and lost 26-8.

Cameron's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Ladysmith, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Cameron couldn't quite finish off Ladysmith in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 and fell 20-18. Thankfully for the Comets, Timmy Meltz (who threw for 205 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 72 yards on only ten carries) won't be suiting up this time.
