Basketball Game Preview: Lake Arthur Panthers vs. Floyd Broncos

Lake Arthur is 0-10 against Floyd since January of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Lake Arthur Panthers will head out to square off against the Floyd Broncos at 6:30 p.m. Lake Arthur has insisted on making their last three contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-3 during that stretch of close contests.

Lake Arthur played against Melrose and lost via forfeit.

Floyd is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 68-27 loss at the hands of Gateway Christian. The Broncos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-15.

Despite the defeat, Floyd saw an underclassman step up: freshman Rey Duarte posted seven points. Those seven points gave Duarte a new career-high.

Floyd's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Lake Arthur, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
