Softball Recap: Monument Mountain Has No Trouble Against Mount Greylock Regional

Monument Mountain barely beat Mount Greylock Regional the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans blew past the Mounties 22-8 on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won eight games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Monument Mountain has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Mount Greylock Regional, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Coming up, Monument Mountain will look to defend their home field on Monday against Lenox Memorial at 4:00 p.m. The Millionaires will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight. Mount Greylock Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
