Cigarroa extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping their season record down to 5-18 in the process. They lost 17-1 to the Mission Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 back in March.

As for Mission, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

For Mission's part, Judith Arroyo made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Arroyo has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
