 Poynette scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Friday. They came out on top against the Lake Mills L-Cats by a score of  10-5. The  victory was some much needed relief for Poynette as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
  Hunter Webster made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching five innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   six  hits. Webster was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Chase Hansen, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Chase Maier, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 On Lake Mills' side,  Hunter Frohmader was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned  (and three unearned) runs off   three  hits.
 At the plate,  Ty Schaefer was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Poynette's win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Lake Mills, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record  this season.
 Poynette will be playing in front of their home fans against Portage at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Lake Mills, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Johnson Creek on Saturday. Johnson Creek will roll in looking for their  17th straight  victory, something Lake Mills surely won't give up without a fight.
