Baseball Recap: Tri Takes a Loss

Purdue Polytechnic hit Tri with a five-run fifth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Titans might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 9-2 to the Techies, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tri's loss dropped their record down to 1-14-1. As for Purdue Polytechnic, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Tri will welcome Purdue Poly Englewood at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Purdue Polytechnic will be paying especially close attention to the Titans' game: after the Titans face off against Purdue Poly Englewood, they'll take on Purdue Polytechnic again at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
