Volleyball Recap: Leander Lions vs. Grapevine Mustangs
Leander posted their closest victory since October 8, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Grapevine Mustangs. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2019.
Among those leading the charge was Sierra Lumbreras, who had six digs and five aces. Those five aces gave her a new career-high. Troy Acevedo also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
