Softball Recap: Lamar Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Lamar's offense. They lost 6-0 to the McBee Panthers on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Silver Foxes' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Lamar saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby McManus, who went 1-for-4 with one double.

Lamar has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. The win (which was McBee's third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lamar will square off against Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for McBee, a feisty cat fight will be fought as McBee Panthers face off against Lewisville Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
