Volleyball Recap: Palmer Terrors vs. Widefield Gladiators

Palmer won the last time they faced Widefield, and things went their way on Thursday too. The Palmer Terrors put the hurt on the Widefield Gladiators with a sharp 3-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Terrors sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15, 25-21.

Palmer was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in five consecutive matchups.

Despite the loss, Widefield saw an underclassman step up: freshman Leila Brown had eight digs and 12 assists. Those eight digs set a new season-high mark for Brown.

Palmer has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Widefield, they dropped their record down to 6-16 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
