Volleyball Recap: Cajon Wins Going Away Against Redlands East Valley

Cajon's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Redlands East Valley Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in March.

Cajon got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The final score came out to 33-31, 25-15, 25-21.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Vic Liao, who had 14 digs. Liao has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times he's played.

Cajon's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Redlands East Valley, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cajon will challenge Redlands at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Terriers will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Cowboys surely won't give up without a fight. As for Redlands East Valley, they will square off against Yucaipa at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats are facing the Thunderbirds at the right time seeing as the Thunderbirds are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
