Basketball Game Preview: Canyon Ridge Riverhawks vs. Jerome Tigers

Canyon Ridge and Jerome are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2020, but not for long. The Canyon Ridge Riverhawks will venture away from home to challenge the Jerome Tigers at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Canyon Ridge is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Canyon Ridge came up short against Highland and fell 46-38.

Mason Hill put forth a good effort for the losing side as he dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards. He has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times he's played. Kade McEntire was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Meanwhile, Jerome also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Minico by a score of 65-53.

Canyon Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Jerome, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Canyon Ridge was able to grind out a solid victory over Jerome in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 51-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Canyon Ridge since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
