Caney Valley hadn't done well against Fredonia recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bullpups walked away with a 2-0 win over the Yellowjackets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Caney Valley easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-18.

Ameris King paced Caney Valley's offense, picking up seven kills. King got some help from Emma Marshall and her 11 assists. King was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Caney Valley's victory bumped their record up to 21-14. As for Fredonia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-26 record this season.

Caney Valley has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Galena on the 14th. As for Fredonia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Hesston on the 20th.
