Softball Recap: George Rogers Clark Victorious

George Rogers Clark took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against Boyle County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cardinals came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rebels on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cardinals have posted since April 26th.

George Rogers Clark's win bumped their record up to 23-12. As for Boyle County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.

George Rogers Clark will take on Fleming County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cardinals are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Boyle County, they will challenge Anderson County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bearcats will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something the Rebels surely won't give up without a fight.
