Basketball Recap: Wellsville-Middletown's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Wellsville-Middletown's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Mark Twain Tigers by a score of 53-41. The win was some much needed relief for Wellsville-Middletown as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Wellsville-Middletown's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-9. As for Mark Twain, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wellsville-Middletown will face off against North Callaway at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mark Twain, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Marion County at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st.
