Football Recap: Chavez Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Chavez's offense. They were outmatched by the Arleta Mustangs and fell 41-0. The Eagles have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Jose Rosas had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 87 yards and a pair of scores, while also picking up 47 receiving yards and one TD for Arleta. Austin Ramos was another key player, rushing for 56 yards and one touchdown.

Chavez's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Arleta, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Chavez is set to face off against their familiar foe Poly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Arleta will square off against rival North Hollywood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
