Baseball Recap: Olympic Heights Comes Up Short

Olympic Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 5-2 to the Coral Glades Jaguars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 8-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Ryan Kessner was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

At the plate, Olympic Heights saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jace Schlacter, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Olympic Heights' record now sits at 1-8. As for Coral Glades, their record now sits at 7-3.
