Recap: Providence Christian Academy Griffins vs. West Nottingham Rams

The Providence Christian Academy Griffins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to West Nottingham 67-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Despite the loss, Providence Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Bryce Unruh, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten assists. Unruh is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ethan Burrows, who scored nine points along with seven assists.

Providence Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for West Nottingham, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Providence Christian Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and plays Fellowship of Christian Athletes at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Fellowship of Christian Athletes is on a four-game streak of home losses, Providence Christian Academy a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for West Nottingham, they will head out on the road to square off against Tome at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Tome is coming into the match with four straight wins at home, so West Nottingham is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
