Soccer Recap: Commerce Comes Up Short

Commerce fought the good fight in their overtime match against Elbert County on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Elbert County Blue Devils by a score of 3-2. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Commerce's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Elbert County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Commerce take on Rabun County at 5:30 p.m. on March 21st. As for Elbert County, they will head out to square off against Athens Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Elbert County's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
