Baseball Recap: Harbor Comes Up Short

After flying high against Aptos last Wednesday, Harbor came back down to earth. The Pirates lost 9-2 to the Soquel Knights on Friday. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

With the defeat, Harbor broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-3. As for Soquel, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Harbor will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Santa Cruz at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Soquel, they are taking a road trip to square off against Leigh at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Knights 2.5, the Longhorns 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
