Softball Recap: Elizabeth Takes a Loss

Elizabeth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cranford Cougars. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Elizabeth's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Cranford, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5.

Elizabeth didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-1 defeat against Johnson on the 15th. As for Cranford, they have also already played their next game, a 9-6 loss against Governor Livingston on the 15th.
