Basketball Recap: Boyertown Falls Despite Big Games from Keeshawn Copeland and Braiden Luft

Boyertown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 55-31 to the Spring-Ford Rams. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 557th, while the Rams are ranked 119th).

Boyertown's loss came despite strong showings from Braiden Luft and Keeshawn Copeland. Luft posted eight points, while Copeland put up seven points. The dominant performance also gave Luft a new career-high in rebounds (three).

Boyertown's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Spring-Ford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Boyertown is taking a road trip to square off against Pottstown at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spring-Ford, they will host Reading at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Reading's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.
