Preview: St. Mary's Academy Crusaders vs. Lincoln HomeSchool Eagles
The St. Mary's Academy Crusaders will be playing at home against the Lincoln HomeSchool Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully St. Mary's Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
St. Mary's Academy's 15-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 50-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sunrise Christian Academy Silver. While losing is never fun, St. Mary's Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while Sunrise Christian Academy Silver is ranked 85th).
St. Mary's Academy's loss came about despite a quality game from Nick Whitehead, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Whitehead is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Andrew Moats, who scored three points.
Meanwhile, even though Dallas Thunder scored an imposing 62 points on Sunday, Lincoln HomeSchool still came out on top. Lincoln HomeSchool enjoyed a cozy 79-62 victory over Dallas Thunder. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lincoln HomeSchool.
St. Mary's Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Lincoln HomeSchool, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
