Black Hills - Crazy Horse recap October 22, 2013
Bennett County extended the longest winning streak in Black Hills - Crazy Horse this week by beating St. Francis Indian, 54-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Bennett County took down the Warriors 54-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Custer's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Chase Glazier threw for 99 and 4 touchdowns and Clayton Wahlstrom had 57 yards receiving. On the ground Kenneth Myers chipped in 133 yards. Grayson Trandem helped Custer's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 37 yards.
Coltan Hall was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Wildcats bested Pine Ridge. The 5-foot-10 junior grabbed 2 interceptions.
Myers was a passing and rushing force as Custer beat the Thorpes. Myers' key target this week was Wahlstrom, who caught 2 passes for 57 yards.
He went 4-10 with 0 interceptions.
Glazier put up the best numbers in passing as Russ Bailey's team bested Pine Ridge.
Custer's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Glazier has thrown for 896 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Joel Thomsen has 13 catches for 315 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Little Wound takes on Jeff Krolikowski's team. The Mustangs are currently in fifth, while the Warriors are in second.
