Baseball Recap: Seton Catholic Gets the Win

Seton Catholic had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the ALA - Gilbert North Eagles on Wednesday, sneaking past 10-8. The Sentinels haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Drew Campagna looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Tialoc Del Rosario, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Chase Ries, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5.

Coming up, Seton Catholic will take on Dobson in a tournament on Thursday. As for ALA - Gilbert North, they will be taking part in a tournament against Maricopa at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games ALA - Gilbert North has played (dating back to last season) have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
