Volleyball Recap: Simi Valley Takes a Loss

Simi Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Royal Highlanders, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Highlanders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 1st.

Simi Valley took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-17, 25-18.

Simi Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Royal, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Simi Valley will face off against rival Oak Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Royal is set to square off against their familiar foe Moorpark at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
