Volleyball Recap: Monte Vista Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road + How To Watch

After losing to North Fork the last time they met, Monte Vista decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Pirates walked away with a 3-1 win over the Miners on Friday. That two set margin sets a new team best for the Pirates this season.

Destiny Pacheco paced Monte Vista's offense, picking up 12 kills. Pacheco got some help from Evie Hinds and her 22 assists. Pacheco was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Monte Vista's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3. As for North Fork, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monte Vista will face off against Center at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Fork, they will square off against Caprock Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
