The third road game was the charm for Lafayette, as they earned their first away victory of the season. Everything went their way against the Warhill Lions on Friday as Lafayette made off with a 9-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won six in a row.

Breccan O'Grady was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. O'Grady was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three).

O'Grady wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Reed Smith, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Smith has posted since back in April of 2024. Quinn Walton was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

The win got Lafayette back to even at 2-2. As for Warhill, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Lafayette will take on Smithfield at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Warhill, they will challenge Menchville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
