It's playoff time, and Greenbrier East had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their defense stepped up to hand the Nicholas County Grizzlies an 8-0 shutout on Saturday. The result was nothing new for Greenbrier East, who have now won 13 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Nicholas County from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Lyla Brown led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The win (which was Greenbrier East's eighth in a row) raised their record to 18-2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 47 goals over those eight matchups. As for Nicholas County, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6-3.

As of now, neither Greenbrier East nor the Grizzlies have any future games scheduled.
