Softball Recap: Muleshoe Gets the Win

Muleshoe came out on top against Littlefield on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run fifth inning. The Mules took their game against the Wildcats 13-10. This was a revenge game for the Mules: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in March, they had to take a 19-18 loss.

Aaliyah Dominguez was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Dylynn Villanueva also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Muleshoe was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Muleshoe's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Littlefield, their record is now 13-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Muleshoe is set to take on their familiar foe Slaton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Littlefield will face off against rival Roosevelt at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
