Soccer Game Preview: Anaheim vs. Saddleback

The Anaheim Colonists will head out to challenge the Saddleback Roadrunners at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Anaheim's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Anaheim was handed a three-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They beat Savanna by a goal, winning 1-0. The victory continues a trend for Anaheim in their matchups with Savanna: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Saddleback was able to grind out a solid win over Los Amigos on Wednesday, taking the game 3-1. The victory was all the more spectacular given Saddleback's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 444th, while Los Amigos are ranked 116th).

Anaheim's record is now 4-6-3. As for Saddleback, the win got them back to even at 6-6-2.
