Softball Recap: Allentown Central Catholic Starts Season with Win Against Western Wayne

Allentown Central Catholic gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Western Wayne Wildcats, sneaking past 6-5.

Allentown Central Catholic let Angelina Bernardi 2026 and Kairi Charles 2026 run wild. Bernardi 2026 scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-1, while Charles 2026 went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. Another player making a difference was Emily Lewis, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Allentown Central Catholic will challenge Wilson Area at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Western Wayne, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Western Wayne Wildcats duke it out with Pocono Mountain West Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
