Volleyball Recap: Deshler Takes a Loss

Deshler lost against Meridian back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Dragons fell 2-0 to the Mustangs.

Deshler might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Meridian: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Deshler still got an impressive performance from Tasia Schardt, who had 18 digs.

Deshler's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Meridian, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Deshler will host Franklin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Meridian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Lewiston on the 15th.
