League recap: Forest Hills stuns Cambria Heights in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Forest Hills, who defeated 301st ranked Cambria Heights, 42-0. Joe Donoughe threw for 218 yards and ran for 45 yards in the win.

The Rangers scaled the state rankings by moving to 275 from 321 this week, the biggest jump in Laurel Highlands. Forest Hills climbed the ranks as a result of topping the Highlanders 42-0.

Matt Shaffer threw for 242 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 17-24 with 1 interception.

Jacob Urban was a key player and the best on defense this week as Richland topped Bishop McCort. The 6-foot-0 senior.

Colin Barron was the best receiver in the league this week as Westmont Hilltop fell to Bedford. Barron tallied 11 receptions for 143 yards.

Richland's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rams feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Shaffer has thrown for 1,096 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Kyle Flick has 22 catches for 489 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Somerset takes on second place Richland. Last week, Somerset defeated Greater Johnstown, while the Rams beat the Crushers.

Two of the top teams in Laurel Highlands will go toe-to-toe this week when Richland takes on the Eagles. Brandon Bailey's team's offense has scored 262 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Somerset has allowed only 43 on the year.

There should be lots of points scored when the Rams and Bob Landis' team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Richland comes in having scored 262 this season, while the Eagles have scored 143. The Rams scored 70 points last week as they defeated Bishop McCort.

Somerset extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Trojans, 28-7. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
