Softball Recap: Caldwell County Has No Trouble Against Todd County Central

Caldwell County was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Todd County Central Rebels. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Caldwell County got a great performance from Jackie Farmer as she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts Farmer has posted since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Harper Holeman was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Brylee Butts was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Caldwell County now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Todd County Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Caldwell County will take on Webster County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Todd County Central, they will square off against Bowling Green at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
