Basketball Recap: Donna North Comes Up Short

Donna North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Porter Cowboys and fell 76-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Chiefs have suffered against the Cowboys since January 23, 2018.

Porter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alonso Vasquez led the charge by dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Vasquez a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Shogreen, who went 6 for 15 en route to 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and five blocks.

Donna North's record is now 2-22. As for Porter, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-15.

Donna North has already played their next match (against Mercedes), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Porter has already played their next contest, a 64-43 defeat against Rivera on the 20th.
