Morse had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Monte Vista Monarchs, posting a 50-12 victory. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Morse's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from De'Vell Green, who picked up 129 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Green also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making six total tackles and defending one pass. Ethan Esmailian was another key passer, throwing for 140 yards and two touchdowns.

Morse didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Superior Garror. He also punched in three rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Morse is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-4 otherwise.

The win (which was Morse's third in a row) raised their record to 8-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.7 points over those games. As for Monte Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Coming up, Morse will face off against Hoover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Monte Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
