Sanger came tearing into Wednesday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They didn't even let the Van Alstyne Panthers on the board, marking their second-straight 1-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 1-0 on Tuesday.

Sanger's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games. As for Van Alstyne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-6.
