Softball Recap: Timberlane Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Windham

Timberlane faced Windham in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Owls fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 3-1. The Owls were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Elizabeth Shanley was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

Timberlane's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Windham, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Looking ahead, Windham will challenge Portsmouth at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Timberlane will be paying especially close attention to the Jaguars' match: after the Jaguars face off against the Clippers, they'll take on Timberlane again at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
