Basketball Recap: Jamestown Takes a Loss

If Jamestown was feeling good fresh off their 71-51 takedown of Rush-Henrietta last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jamestown Red & Green fell 67-57 to the Bishop Timon-St. Jude Tigers on Monday. The contest marked the Red & Green's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Bishop Timon-St. Jude's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nakyhi Harris, who went 9-for-22 on his way to 24 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Gibson, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards.

Jamestown's loss dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Bishop Timon-St. Jude, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, Jamestown will welcome Clarence at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Jamestown's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Bishop Timon-St. Jude does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
