Volleyball Recap: Medina Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lawrence Upper on Friday, Medina Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Knights came up short against the Mansfield Christian Flames on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Knights were not able to make up for their loss to the Flames from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Medina Christian Academy took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-13, 25-18.

Ally Glau paced Medina Christian Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Glau got some help from Ava Abramczyk and her ten assists. Abramczyk was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Mansfield Christian was led to victory by McKenzie Webb and Nora Cook. Webb had nine digs and four aces, while Cook had nine digs and three aces. Webb has been hot, having posted three or more aces the last six times she's played.

With the defeat, Medina Christian Academy broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-5. As for Mansfield Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Medina Christian Academy will take on Christian Community at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mansfield Christian, they will square off against Crestline at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
