Softball Preview: Johnston Panthers vs. Scituate Spartans
Johnston and Scituate are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Johnston Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Scituate Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Johnston is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: West Warwick, who was ranked seventh in their home state at the time (Johnston was ranked eighth). Johnston's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-1. As for Scituate, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
