Basketball Game Preview: North Marion Colts vs. Palm Bay Pirates

The North Marion Colts will square off against the Palm Bay Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

North Marion heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Thursday. They lost 62-40 to Eastside.

Despite the loss, North Marion saw an underclassman step up: freshman JAMEYA BROWN went 10 for 18 en route to 23 points and five rebounds. BROWN's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 20 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Palm Bay). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Eau Gallie 102-15. The Pirates have beaten the Commodores the last nine times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Commodores has come to flipping the script.

North Marion now has a losing record at 13-14. As for Palm Bay, their victory bumped their record up to 20-7.
