West Seattle proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 12) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Chief Sealth, sneaking past 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win West Seattle has posted since May 18, 2024.

Meanwhile, Lincoln faced Ballard in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Lynx fell 4-1 to the Beavers. The Lynx's loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

West Seattle pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.

West Seattle came out on top in a nail-biter against Lincoln in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Seattle since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
