Softball Recap: Sulligent Comes Up Short

Florence hit Sulligent with a five-run third inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Devils took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Blue Devils just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Sulligent saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubree Flynn, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Sulligent's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Florence, their win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-12.

Sulligent has already played their next game (against Shoals Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Florence, they will head out to face off against Belgreen at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
