Basketball Recap: Hollins Comes Up Short

Hollins was the 42-28 winner over Shorecrest Prep when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Hollins Royals were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 28-27 to the Shorecrest Prep Chargers.

Hollins' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Mya Manning, who posted eight points, and Aubree VanEpps, who had five points and five steals. The dominant performance gave Manning a new career-high in points.

Hollins' defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Shorecrest Prep, their win bumped their record up to 5-11.

Both are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Hollins has already played their next match (against East Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Shorecrest Prep has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Tampa Prep.
