It was a good run, but The Moody Blue Devils unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Leeds by a score of 24-21. Moody has struggled against Leeds recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Moody still got an impressive performance from Charlie Johnston, who threw for 221 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Ka'darius Barnes also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Moody's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Leeds, their victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-2.
Moody will take on Southside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southside is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games. As for Leeds, they will head out on the road to face off against Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 236th, while Leeds is ranked 77th).
