Basketball Recap: White Mountain Starts Season with Defeat at Home

White Mountain unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 89-45 loss at the hands of the Koyuk Malimiut Malemutes. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-17.

White Mountain's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaden Adams, who made all 6 shots he took racking up 22 points. The matchup was Adams' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Barr Jadyn, who made all 6 shots he took for 14 points.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Koyuk Malimiut beat White Mountain by a score of 82-39 on Saturday.
