Soccer Recap: Campo Verde Takes a Loss

Campo Verde and Highland combined for 24 shots on goal on Friday, which explains the impressive five total goals scored. The Campo Verde Coyotes lost 5-0 to the Highland Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Hawks are ranked fifth).

Campo Verde dropped their record down to 8-8-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Highland, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
