Basketball Game Preview: Tuba City Warriors vs. Monument Valley Mustangs

Tuba City hasn't had much luck against Monument Valley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tuba City Warriors will challenge the Monument Valley Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Tuba City has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Tuba City is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell just short of Arete Prep by a score of 79-76 on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (74), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Monument Valley lost 47-26 to Coolidge two weeks ago. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Bears are ranked 54th).

Monument Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Tuba City, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 5-7.

Tuba City came up short against Monument Valley in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 68-58. Can Tuba City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
